Understand the range names

The Johnson range includes Johnson Marbonite full-body, double-charge and selected big-format vitrified ranges, alongside Porselano large-format options. These labels describe different ranges, not a single universal specification. Confirm the body type, finish and technical sheet for the selected product.

Which sizes can be discussed?

The range information include 800 × 1200, 800 × 1600 and 1200 × 1800 mm, plus 80 × 240 cm and 120 × 240 cm where applicable to the collection. Notice the change of units: 80 × 240 cm equals 800 × 2400 mm. Catalogue coverage is not a promise of current stock or of every finish in every size.

How does a larger tile change a room?

A larger face can make the pattern easier to appreciate and reduce the number of visible joints compared with a smaller format in the same layout. It does not remove the need for joints. Compare the pattern across multiple faces and ask whether the selection has direction, random faces or a specific arrangement to follow.

What needs checking before an order?

Ask your installer to review the substrate, actual dimensions, thickness, joint requirements, cutting plan, access route and handling arrangements. Check doorways, stairs, lifts and tight corners. A format that looks excellent in a wide room may generate awkward strips around a smaller wall or opening.

Compare finishes in person

View a large sample under more than one lighting angle. Highly reflective surfaces and softer finishes show reflections differently. Match the tile to furniture, cabinet fronts and adjacent rooms. Ask for the manufacturer’s maintenance guidance rather than assuming every vitrified finish cleans the same way.
